    What is magnetotelluric method?

    The magnetotelluric system is based on the mature magnetotelluric sounding theory, and adopts random signal processing technology, intelligent wireless communication technology, embedded real-time operating system technology, large-scale field programmable array logic technology, 32-bit high-precision and high-speed A/D recording technology and other electronic technologies. It is an ultra-wideband magnetotelluric instrument that integrates high-frequency magnetotelluric (HMT), audio magnetotelluric (AMT) and magnetotelluric (BMT and MT).


    The working principle of the magnetotelluric system is based on the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction, which detects the underground geological structure by measuring the natural magnetic field and underground resistivity. When the conductive material inside the earth moves in the natural magnetic field, it generates a voltage, which can be detected by the system, thereby inferring the electrical properties and structure of the underground material.


    Features

    High-frequency magnetotelluric sounding (100kHz-10Hz) can be used to conduct deep exploration of the most active human activities from a few meters to one thousand meters, and audio magnetotelluric sounding (10kHz-0.1Hz), long-period magnetotelluric sounding (1000Hz-100000s) and broadband magnetotelluric sounding (10kHz-10000s) can also be used to study deep macroscopic geological problems.


    ♦Lightweight on-site real-time imaging-Z5 receiving host weighs 3.5kg and is easy to move; it uses an embedded real-time operating system and a parallel hardware processor to achieve full-band acquisition while calculating the electromagnetic field power spectrum, apparent resistivity, phase, and correlation in real time on-site, and can view the apparent resistivity and apparent phase curves of scalars or tensors on-site or remotely.

    ♦Natural source and artificial source mixed mode-applying the principle of magnetotelluric sounding, it can carry out magnetotelluric sounding of natural sources, magnetotelluric sounding of artificial sources, or a mixed acquisition of the two.

    ♦Ultra-wideband magnetotelluric instrument - audio magnetotelluric sounding (10kHz-0.1Hz) can be used to conduct deep exploration of the most active human activities from 100 meters shallow to several thousand meters, long-period magnetotelluric sounding (1kHz-1000s) can also be used to study deep macroscopic geological problems, and ultra-wideband magnetic probes can be used to directly complete ultra-wideband magnetotelluric measurement and collection work from 10kHz to 10000s.

    ♦Both tensors and scalars can be observed - scalar measurements suitable for rapid surveys can be carried out, and tensor measurements of two- and three-dimensional geological structures can also be carried out.

    ♦ High-efficiency multi-sampling rate real-time wheel acquisition - 24kHz, 2400Hz extraction recording, 150Hz, 15Hz continuous recording. Automatic alternating acquisition or automatic segmented acquisition, multi-sampling rate acquisition and processing, higher frequency resolution.
